Great solar products. Poor management

Pros

Office location is great and well equipped. Its solar products and technologies are unique. The business model is profitable. People are helping each other as a team.

Cons

The sapphire screen manufacturing contract with Apple brought the company to bankruptcy. Lots of layoffs and lost all the businesses.

Blatant lies from the CEO, Tom Gutierrez

People get fired so quickly they don't have time to react and get emotional.

Cons

At about 9am, the CEO sent out a memorandum to all employees. He wrote that wages would be paid and that it would be business as usual despite the bankruptcy. Not even an hour afterwards, mid-level managers started getting emails with lists of people to fire and escort out of the building. No notice! I'm not sure if it was miscommunication, rapid change of plans, or just plain evil intentions that the CEO sent out such a false message. I saw some very hardworking people get walked out of the building today. It was so intense and nervewracking.

Good pay and benefits. Supplied t-shirts and reimbursement for eyewear and safety boots.

Cons

Wrong people where put into power with unproven backgrounds. Too many thugs put into power because they were family members of supervisors.
