I got laid off the day after a program because the program from the client has finished. They said I did not have any more programs to be aligned, that's why they laid me off. This is unacceptable because the job description I applied for was for a full-time position, not a contract-based one. The company only hired to assist this program as a "full-time" employee without any long-term commitment. Very unprofessional.
