Pros

No pros besides liking the people I work with

Cons

I would not recommend working for this company. The management style is built on intimidation and bullying rather than professionalism and respect. I was screamed at and cursed at by Lindsay, a core manager, in front of pool patrons, and when I tried to report it by requesting the HR phone number, I was completely ignored. The following day, Nicole, another core manager, not only defended Lindsay's behavior but stated it was 100% justified -- even though Lindsay had been yelling and cursing at me in front of patrons. When I told Nicole that I felt threatened by how I had been treated, she told me that I should feel threatened. I have never been spoken to this way by any employer. I was belittled, humiliated, and made to feel unsafe. I was then terminated the next day based on disputed evidence that did not accurately reflect the situation. Patrons witnessed the unprofessional behavior firsthand and were equally disturbed by it. I consistently received compliments throughout my time working there and my termination came as a shock to everyone. If you are considering working here, please think twice.

Pros

Consistent part-time schedule, great short-term/summer employment option

Cons

At some pool locations, there is a misunderstanding of how much work truly goes into keeping the facility clean on a daily basis and management understaffs as a result

Pros

No pros come to mind. Would have to seriously think about it to even come up with one. First season working for them and definitely will be the last.

Cons

The pay is very minimal considering what lifeguards put up with from patrons, management, etc. Management overall treats their employees incredibly poorly with little to no respect. Harsh criticism/disrespectful interactions with “core managers” are constant, while a constructive and helpful managing style is nonexistent. The job is pretty physically exhausting, given that you are in the sun all day and expected to be on deck “cleaning” for 10 minutes of your 15 minute break. Zero time to sit down, eat, drink water, etc.
