A good company to work for overall. They are growing every year.
Pros
For starters, Fori Automation was actually bought out by Lincoln Electric in late 2022. The name Fori is still on the building but Lincoln owns the entrie international corporation. People like it at Fori for the most part. There's quite of few people both in the front office and the shop who have worked there for 10, 15, 20 years or longer. In the 6 years I was there they offered decent benefits. Health, Eye, Dental. Your typcial health insurance thru employer plan, nothing special. The vacation days we earned each year were fair. We got an annual rasie. Normally $.50 or $1.00. Plus they give employees a yearly bonus (mine was a little over a weeks pay after taxes. Im sure people with higher positions than me got more). It varied a bit based on their annual sales an also due to covid issues. I had never worked for anone who gave a bonus like that so it was happy. Just like with any coupany they have their issues. It's not like everyday was all sunshine and rainbows there believe me. But as far as the company as a whole I can't really say many negative things. I guess one would be that our benefits & policies about vacation time did change for the worse slowly over the years, but then the CEO or President would gather everyone and tell us how they are making record sales and signing into nice lucative contracts. There are many, many different positions at Fori, they offer to pay for certain college or other schooling through contracts. About a year before I left, they also started a new program that aimed to increase interest in manufacturing among high school and college students. Again its a large, growing company, in the field of automation, which is only getting larger every year. I'd say they have a good foothold in the automotive & aerospace manufacturing industry with their automation technology built for Boeing, The Big 3 & others, forging the path they travel
Cons
The biggest cons of the company mostly reside in specific department. I'm sure you can guess which one... I don't usually post on this site, I don't know how much ex-employers can see so I don't want to burn any bridges, but let's just say that things could have been managed much better. Too many bosses who have poor communication. Certain people have more "protection" than others, even if they do a poor job & it affects other peoples work. I think the word people like to use for this sort of thing is "politics". But thats all I'll say about that...
