Pros

I am still looking for them...

Cons

If you thrive in a workplace that values optics over substance, you’ll find Flo fascinating. The leadership style is delightfully reminiscent of high school - intensely cliquey, with a surveillance-heavy culture that makes you wonder if you’re working for a tech company or filming a spy thriller. This atmosphere of constant scrutiny isn’t just a feeling; it’s an operational standard. Gossip is effectively part of the workflow, and exclusion is the primary method of team bonding-provided, of course, that you aren’t already on the outside of the 'cool clique'. The work-life balance here is essentially a creative suggestion. Expect to be frequently reminded that your 'commitment' is measured by how late you stay in the office, regardless of actual productivity. Efficiency is clearly less important than looking like you’re 'lighting up the office' with your exhaustion. Transparency is another interesting feature. If you have the audacity to offer constructive feedback, you’ll quickly learn that the leadership team handles criticism with the same grace as a toddler denied a cookie. Disagreement is a great way to ensure your tenure is, shall we say, 'optimised' into non-existence. The irony of a company targeting women’s health that struggles to support women in its own ranks is not lost on the staff. There is a palpable trend where senior women seem to be cycled out, only to be replaced by male hires. Similarly, if you are a mother returning from leave or an employee dealing with health challenges, expect the company's commitment to 'wellbeing' to evaporate instantly. If you expect the company to live up to its own branding, you’ll likely be 'out' - and perhaps a bit disillusioned - sooner than you expected. The performance management framework is equally mysterious - it’s a magic trick where clarity disappears the moment you ask for it. You’ll find more useful, actionable guidance in a fortune cookie than you will in a performance review here. Finally, keep in mind that the 'positive' energy you see in online reviews is often heavily incentivised (yes, they really do use Bonusly points to encourage glowing feedback). If you choose to apply, come for the chaos and the rapid turnover, but perhaps leave your expectations of a supportive, inclusive, or feedback-rich environment at the door.

Pros

Huge goals and company ambition, but that's why Flo stands apart from so many other tech businesses. If you want to learn from the best, have significant impact and get compensated fairly in the process it's the place to be. Leadership are open, honest and reflective, which is often rare to find. Office perks are great.

Cons

Big goals and high impact means everyone is pushing to go above and beyond and grow. If you're not motivated by that and prefer stability, it wouldn't be the best working environment.
