53% positive business outlook
Pros
great money, awesome customers and coworkers
Cons
long hours, no breaks. money makes it worth it
Pros
Okay hours, good pay, fun friends
Cons
hoo boy. disrespected constantly, not recognized, overworked, not given legally required breaks, bad scheduling, list can keep going
Pros
Free movies (you have to be there and can bring one guest without charge) Free water, soda, tea, and coffee while on the job (you can get free root beer too at the end of a shift). Discounts on food and drinks.
Cons
Breaks are hard to come by during busy hours and are unpaid. Long hours. Brewbucks are difficult to earn for hard work.
Pros
good people, good pay, good guests
Cons
long shifts, no breaks, unstable pay
Pros
The work environment is great, lots of young and enthusiastic employees who genuinely care about one another, I have made a bunch of friends working at Flix. The free movies is cool and there are many other ways to get cool free swag. As long as you don't slack the managers will like you and treat you with respect.
Cons
The managers have favorites and that is not at all a secret. The company hates to fire people even if they definitely deserve it. Equipment breaks all the time and that makes the job much more difficult. Your don't get free food even if you work a 9+ hour shift with NO BREAKS! The managers hate giving raises and will come up with excuses to keep you from getting paid more... Expect your shift to last 9+ hours unless its a weekday or your under 18.
Pros
free movies, good managers, flexible schedule
Cons
long hours, limited breaks, understaffed at times
Pros
You can make good money
Cons
You have to work long hours and they take breaks out of your checks when you don’t take them
Pros
-most people there are young, so for the most part they are young -managers are easygoing and dont really care
Cons
-Training period is way too long. 3 weeks of minimum wange and no tips for someone who has 3 years of serving experience -the multiple servers I talked to made less than 100$ average per 12 hour shift -shifts are WAY too long, there is no break
Pros
Great first job if you live at home with your parents/guardians
Cons
Unpredictable scheduling: No shift end times, employees don't receive their weekly schedule until one day before it begins, the company schedules an exorbitant amount of folks to work FOH to make up for lack of BOH folks- FOH folks sometimes arrive to find out their BOH (and don't expect to be tipped out or acknowledged for doing work you didn't sign up for). Perks barely exist: 25% off food as a patron, 50% off shift meals within 30 minutes of the beginning or ending of your shift but not between 10a-2p or 5p-9p (or when managers deem it inappropriate to order), free movies between Monday and Friday only with manager permission. This is about half of the perks you receive working for the larger, local competition. Low wages: FOH starts at $9/hr. Management starts at $12/hr. Cashiers at HEB start at $13/hr. The online training system is about 6 months behind in company information- just ask your trainer how you can skip through it all by employing a technical glitch in the software. No one is getting breaks in this environment, and if you mention that to management expect to have a pis_ing contest about who is having a more terrible experience while at work.
Pros
free movies (aside from opening weekends) free shifty drink food discount coworkers are generally good
Cons
unless you’re a favorite of the managers you won’t get any promotions or you might get demoted without notice. the hours can be long or you might get cut an hour into your shift because its that slow and you might not even know when you get out because they never give you an out time. unfortunately you’re relying on demand for both a restaurant and a movie theatre so slow days are SLOW and vice versa. any breaks, even just to get a quick drink of water, must go through a manager or you might get in trouble. you only get scheduled on busy days if management doesn’t like you so naturally you get worn out for a weekend and then you go back to working maybe once a week because it’s dead
