Pros

Absolutely none unless you enjoy being bullied and stressed

All the positive reviews about this company are literally written by the same 2 or 3 people trying to save the reputation of this "business" because they are the ones who have been promoted to "managers" within a few months of being here. Healthcare should never be run for profit only. FORCING ill/absent employees to speak to advisors and nurses when they need to be resting to get better. People CLEARLY do not want to speak to us yet we have to harass them with 2 or 3 calls and voicemails, and if they don't answer they get in trouble with thier employer. If we don't leave voicemails correctly or stick to the script we are penalised. Constantly made to feel stupid and that your job is on the line. The whole way the business works is terrible, staff are nitpicked, bullied and constantly monitored via audio and video recording, which creates massive anxiety overall. If your productivity falls below 100% (eg you take an unauthorised bathroom break of 5 minutes), the team leaders are on the phone and email asking what's going on. Full grown adults having to ask permission to go to the toilet or get a drink like school children! Ridiculous! If you are ill with an ongoing condition you are put on thier horrible absence management staging, and they only pay SSP knowing that nobody can survive on just that hence everyone comes to work unwell as they can't afford to take time off. Staff in pain, with raging infections, mental health issues, stress, all made to feel belittled if we take time off not to mention it being broadcast on the monthly charts about staff absence. The company's directors are not clinical, they are business, so everything is money. People that started way after you get promoted ahead of you because their face fits and they brown nose management. But they stab you in the back and step on you to climb the internal ladder. They go on about home working as a perk but all it boils down to is being bullied in your own home with thier spying software. If you do work from the office, mobile phones are banned, likely so that nobody can get any proof of the bullying going on, and they provide tea, coffee and fruit and go on and on like this is some huge perk.

Pros

Colleagues on your level are amazing. Some of the organised events (Christmas etc.) were brilliant evenings. Lots of positions come up but are usually filled by people that are liked by the management team rather than suitability.

Cons

Rota's were non-negotiable, was very difficult to get time off after rotas had been published (even if this was a hospital appointment or something much more serious). The pay was ridiculous for london standard, a basic £7 per hour for absence advisors is disgusting. Constant issues with time-sheets and pay that due to the lack of HR within the company, take ages to be sorted. Lack of appreciation for what could be a very difficult job. Staff are backed into a corner to work weekends above and beyond contractual obligations. If you say something that management aren't happy with they will do their best to push you out of the company. Massive split between the business centre and contact centre. The business centre staff look down on the contact centre staff. Lack of break and lunch times, penalized for going even 10 seconds over your allocated lunch breaks even though you may stay for 10 minutes after your shift due to a long call. If you are liked by the management, especially contact centre management, you will go far, if not, I wouldn't even bother trying.

Pros

Absolutely nothing,nothing in the slightest is a pro to that place!

Where do I start... The call centre is run by emotionless headless chickens. Their current staff turnover is absolutely astonishing, with management staff and absent advisor staff dropping like flies. They’re always recruiting, spending just over 1 week training new staff and rushing them onto starting properly, following this start, there are very harsh and critical on new staff. They are more than ready to fail staff on absolutely anything. It is almost impossible to receive any recognition for work, let alone good and outstanding work that gets done. MANAGEMENT- Now this is a topic I could go on forever about, the management in that place is absolutely ridiculous. They run an absence company but have no empathy to their own employees who might fall absent. With a rule of - if you are late, you can not request over time for another 4 weeks (due to change to 8-12 weeks). They are emotionless to any real life issues that can be happening on the outside of work. A business needs to be run, but not like this. This “business” is due to run straight into the ground. Staff progression is an very enticing field that every person would love to explore and that’s where they will catch you, they advertise staff progression when you are outside of the business but when you are employed,You are definitely staying the position you originally applied for. If you are lucky, or shall I say unlucky to move positions, they will come down on you like a ton of bricks and extend your probation until they have found someone externally to fill your boots. Worst company, I could really go on.
