Pros

Nice office building to work in

Cons

I was dragged through a painfully slow decision making process where they took me through many rounds of jumping through hoops to finally hear back from them several weeks later that they did want to hire me. I was never told which team I would be joining and on my first day I found out that my manager was actually based in bulgaria. I had no onboarding procedure setup and they assured me that I can relax and things will develop naturally lulling me into a false sense of security. I then spent many weeks discovering that the position I had applied for was a goal for a member of the team I worked alongside who was hell bent on closing this as a promotion for himself. I spent weeks having to compete with someone who had worked there for 2 years whilst desperately reaching out to my non existent manager based overseas. The entire office culture was the typical English passive aggressive too that didnt help and sure enough after many crap months of not really feeling like I had any help or direct management engagement I was told my co-worker who wanted my position did in fact get the position and the team I was supposed to be leading would be split into 2 teams one for him and one for me. A week later I was told by my overseas manager who I hadn't talked to for weeks that it wasn't working out and I didn't pass probation. Still baffles me today that a reputable company can be so disorganised with their tech teams
