Management isn’t strategically aligned. Marketing is hiring and firing long tenured and newer employees alike. Even if you do your job really well there’s a possibility it’s not aligned to their future goals and vision and they will fire you as soon as they come to that conclusion. They are more inclined to hire and fire rather than make intentional hiring decisions.
Your value is only based on impact to the bottom line and once you produce what they need, you are disposable.
Based on my experience, it feels like they hire full time employees with the intention to fire them soon after you produce a significant deliverable to avoid paying bonuses or higher consulting prices.
