In my opinion, the owners are the worst managers I have ever had.
Along with their lack of business knowledge, verbal abuse, swearing, and shouting were not uncommon. Racist and homophobic comments (occasionally about other employees) were openly made.
There seemed to be a preference for a specific nationality and race. This was not just with the upper management but also some of the other employees.
Based on my experience there, the owners believe they can do everyone else’s jobs better and will pull in people from unrelated teams to “consult” (aka blindly agree) on their decisions.
There is little trust for the employees and micromanagement is common. They want “yes men” as opposed to competent, knowledgeable employees.
Some of the other employees were also quick to throw people under the bus and not understanding something was met with negativity. During my time there, a few of the employees were not willing to listen to explanations and rarely took other opinions into consideration. This made cross-team collaboration quite painful.
Working overtime (including weekends) was expected (occasionally forced) and no compensation was given.
Expect tight deadlines and last minute feedback (usually pointless) with no rationale. Praise does not exist.
VERY high turnover rate, no orientation, no learning curve, and no room for progression.
