Pros

Factory is a hub of some of the most creative people in the industry, said no one ever.

Cons

Talk about a sham of a company, I'm surprised this place is still able to keep the lights on. Oh that's right, they barely pay their employees so that's where the money must come from. Over-promising and under-delivering, always trending. All of the good employees jump ship because this place is truly the titanic. If you value yourself and your career you will stay away. They may have a decent client roster for about 20 minutes or so, but I'm honestly not sure who jumps ship faster...clients or employees? Severely understaffed is an understatement, you should probably invest in a sleeping bag because you will never see your home again. Oh and should we discuss all of the unpaid over time and multiple weekends you will be threatened and forced to work? Probably not. Factory doesn't build you up, it breaks you down. Everything you will learn, you will have taught yourself. I'm not sure why they offer the title "manager" because no one knows how to actually manage anything, nevermind their own teams. The management truly enjoys exploiting their employees. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Sweat-shop? No thanks, I'd rather hit the gym.

Great Place to Learn But Upper Management Needs a Bit of a Cleanup

Pros

I was at Factory for about a year and a half. I enjoyed my time there, but needed to step away in order to keep my sanity. I felt like my work wasn't being compensated properly and needed to take my talent elsewhere.

Cons

The directors make the assistants do everything with the exception of one. When it came to client work: over-promised and often under-delivered. Upper management is lazy and always throw the lower-level employees under the bus.

Pros

You learn how to multi-task and see/experience both traditional PR and event production. I learned everything about how NOT to treat people, how NOT to manage, how NOT to lead a company -- this insight is extremely valuable as you explore better opportunities.

Cons

The way myself and my peers were treated, the things we saw, the things we experienced -- would not be appropriate for this forum. The work environment was unhealthy and miserable. Despite somewhat positive reviews on Glassdoor, now being an outsider, I can confidently tell you that Factory PR has a horrible reputation in the Fashion community.
