51% positive business outlook
Pros
Great culture and supportive work environment that makes a positive impact through the work they do.
Cons
Company has grown quickly over the past 3 years, there are associated growing pains, but overall they are tackling these well as they come up.
Pros
Building relationships with coworkers, off early on Fridays
Cons
I'm compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience working at F&G as a Black woman. Unfortunately, my time at the company was marred by a biased manager who consistently displayed favoritism towards certain colleagues. The lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion was palpable, and I often felt like an outsider. My manager's bias and favoritism created a hostile work environment, making it challenging for me to thrive in my role. Despite my best efforts, I was repeatedly overlooked for opportunities and faced unfair criticism. The absence of a fair and inclusive culture was staggering, and I was not alone in my experiences. I hope that in the future, F&G will take concrete steps to address these issues and create a more inclusive work environment. Until then, I would caution others, especially those from underrepresented groups, to carefully consider their decision to work at F&G.
Pros
People who want to work together to create a great environment and create product.
Cons
Not much to say here.
Pros
Good environment, work/life balance was AMAZING
Cons
Went through a riff while I was there.
Pros
Cost of benefits , growing quickly, flexible work environment
Cons
Do as leaders say and don't share your opinion if you disagree
Pros
Good pay and benefits. Friendly work environment
Cons
Company didn’t handle quick growth well. They ended up laying off 15% of workforce when sales slowed down.
Pros
F&G is a great work environment. Able to remain focused on core values despite growth. Easy to build relationships with other employees.
Cons
No cons to speak to.
Pros
Benefits; low cost and amazing
Cons
One of the most hostile work environment I have ever been privy to. Inefficient processes, managers with little to no experience and with an inability to work with subordinates in a professional fashion. Corporate Management are completely unaware - of this specific department- and lack the desire to put forth any effort to updating systems or processes. The customer service expectation is so far below par it has made me terrified to ever invest should my beneficiaries be treated poorly or not even paid according to my wishes due to a companies poor training. The HR department is extraordinarily corrupt, confidentiality does not exist in this company.
Pros
Prior to my interview, I knew little to nothing about F&G. Since starting, I have been more than impressed with how the Company operates, and the incredible people that I've met. Here are a handful of pros that I have found thus far: -Growth continued, even throughout the pandemic -Flexible work options, with ability to be remote -Multiple modernization projects in the works, providing room for opportunities outside normal job duties -Seamless interview and onboarding process, even in the remote work environment -Transparency from leadership -Competitive benefits -Employee development is valued, providing many avenues for learning -Fun, connected, motivating, collaborative, supportive, and innovative culture -Incredible people I am beyond excited I decided to take the leap and join the F&G family.
Cons
-There are busier times for differing departments which could require more than a normal 40 hour work week, however, such are short lived
