I never really had the opportunity to learn what I was promised to when I was recruited. Higher level of management told us to stop working on our current product before it has been released (but nevertheless quite advanced and almost ready), abandon it and start something else, several times, so we never had the chance to have market feedbacks. It felt like a lack of commitment from the higher level of management. They never really showed us gratitude, even when we had to achieve highly complicated urgent stuff to win a 2M euros contract and succeeded ( with several sleepless nights). So, when some of us asked to at least be paid what we could normally earn anywhere else for the same kind of job, we got less than half of what we asked. Commercial department usually sold functionalities without even asking the engineers (us) if it was feasible. Career evolution was very slow
