Pros

Pays on time Helpful colleagues Nice buildings

Cons

The company doesn't invest on people (no clear career path plans, there's no transparency regarding the evaluations, not even free resources for personal growth). No chance of career development unless you have the right acquaintances. Salaries are way too low, relatively to the market and the raises (they come when the management sees that you are looking for another job) are too small. Tech stack out of date, except from some cases when individuals try to introduce some new technology from their own.

Pros

-Remote Option, even after COVID -Pays in time -Helpful Colleagues

Cons

Unfortunately, the company is slow in catching up with the rest of the industry. Although it essentially has the majority of the market share in its sector, this has caused the company to enter a hibernation state. It has shifted its focus on raw profit and the stock exchange, completely neglecting internal HR processes, salary improvements, and professional development. Certain people in critical positions promote the "get paid for the least amount of work" attitude, which I despise. A company should promote constant improvement and self-development, even if it seems that there is no competition. You can never know when the tides shift. "You either die a hero or live long enough to be the villain" There is hope, however, as there have been some indications that the company is ready to transform, therefore, I sincerely hope that in a few years' time, things will be a lot better.

Pros

The company offers an 85% remote work option, which is a significant advantage for those seeking flexibility and a better work-life balance. This remote working policy is a progressive step, allowing employees to work from the comfort of their homes, reducing commute times, and providing a degree of autonomy. In certain projects, the company also employs cutting-edge technologies, offering a valuable opportunity for employees to work on innovative and challenging tasks. This aspect is particularly appealing for those keen on developing skills in the latest technological advancements and working on forward-thinking projects. Another noteworthy positive is the presence of some good co-workers. The opportunity to collaborate with knowledgeable and friendly colleagues can significantly enhance the work experience, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Cons

Working at this Greek company has been a challenging experience, primarily due to its entrenched public sector mentality. One of the most significant issues is the company's reluctance to invest in technology. In an era where digital advancement is crucial, their preference for not spending on essential tech upgrades is not only disappointing but also impedes workflow and productivity. Moreover, the work environment is often marred by unprofessionalism. The use of inappropriate language is alarmingly common, which contributes to an uncomfortable and at times hostile atmosphere. This lack of professionalism extends to the management of staff as well. Promised bonuses and salary raises are rarely distributed fairly, with only a select few receiving these benefits despite previous agreements. Another major concern is the inadequate implementation of the Scrum methodology. The requirements and project goals are often poorly communicated or not defined clearly, leading to confusion and inefficiency among team members. This lack of structure and clear direction is a significant impediment to the successful completion of projects and overall team morale. In summary, while the company may offer some opportunities, the negatives, including a reluctance to embrace necessary technological advancements, a toxic work culture, and poor management practices, significantly outweigh the positives. This company needs to undergo substantial changes in its approach to technology, employee management, and project methodology to improve its work environment and operational efficiency.
