1 - This is where my biggest concerns lie. Since the majority of the company is UK based, you kind of feel like a second class citizen if you are in the US. They don't really offer the best benefits and pay when compared to other US based tech companies and they refuse to acknowledge that. They always tell us during company-wide meetings that we are being competitive, but in my brief interactions with other US employees, we all know and feel like we are working at a discounted rate in comparison to our peers in the same positions.
2 - I also have some concerns about the leadership team at the moment. It seems like a lot of them are still very early in their careers and not really fit to be in their positions. With zeroheight, I've noticed that a lot of the leadership team got in their positions by being nice people, cared about others, and aligned with the values and just got brought up the ladder because of that, not because of their past experience or knowledge. Because of that the strategies and visions are a little murky and have little data to back them up.
3 - They are very proud of themselves for their DEI accomplishments and diversity demographics, but fail to do very basic things. For example, a lot of the leadership team and other people still use a lot of non-inclusive speech. A lot of "hey you guys" instead of saying "you all". Also, throughout the entire holiday season, the entire UK office only reference Christmas and only referred to it as Christmas season, while it looks like the US team tried to brand things as the Holiday season. For them to tout themselves as an inclusive community and company there are pretty basic needs that they just don't meet.
