Pros

The company as a business is great. The CEO and his heads of departments are all lovely people. Not all, but most. There are some genuine good people working there but the majority are fake.

Cons

The marketing department is run by the fakest people ever. Favouritism is rife. You can work as hard as you want and be dedicated but it will get you no where if you are not one of the favourites. Having two degrees and industry experience of over 15 years I had to report to a line manager who was barely out of college with no experience in design but was the golden employee. I was dismissed on allegations of racism and homophobia even though I am a bisexual person. I was given no evidence of the accusations, no time to defend myself, just dismissed and walked out the building like a criminal. The worst thing is, they will just get away with it as I was still on probation! Cannot appeal, cannot take them to court. It’s disgusting! Other employees are being accused of similar things with no evidence. All I can say is that if you want to work in a department with a bunch of sheep with no personality or thoughts of their own then go ahead. TRUST NO ONE. They are all out to get you, always spying, always listening. It’s like being back in primary school.

Pros

I have nothing positive to say.

Cons

The office environment is highly toxic and akin to a clique. If you are not in the good favour of the team leader, you may find yourself penalised despite your efforts to perform your duties to the best of your ability. If they do not favour you, there is a risk of being subtly marginalised or excluded from the organisation, often through underhanded means. The expectations placed upon employees are excessive, while reciprocation remains lacking. It often feels that consistent criticism is inevitable, and the management team’s conduct is generally disappointing. Regarding HR, unless you are part of senior management, raising concerns can be an ineffective endeavour, as they tend to show little interest. No matter the evidence you present to support your case, it is frequently disregarded, and prioritisation is consistently given to senior staff.

Pros

- Team were excellent. - Genuinely good product. - Pay was good compared to rest of industry. - Flexibility around personal life, very understanding and willing to help.

Cons

- Very little in the way of training, especially stepping into first management role. - Progression is pretty hard to come by in recent times, used to be more common. - Benefits (not including salary) were lacking. - Necessary cuts to spending made work challenging at times.
