Pros
One line manager was genuinely kind, supportive, and did their best to help me develop. Flexible remote working.
Cons
Very little structure or direction from the outset. No clear KPIs or measurable performance objectives. Feedback was inconsistent and often absent. Requests for guidance or collaboration were viewed negatively rather than encouraged. Communication from management was poor, there were periods of a week or more without hearing from my line manager. Hybrid working was so limited that it became difficult to build relationships or learn from colleagues. A members of senior leadership regularly addressed me using pet names, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable. High staff turnover was openly discussed by management in a way that undermined confidence in leadership.
