Pros
-Management are pretty tuned in to issues and are responsive if you need help -Majority of staff are friendly and the atmosphere is usually pleasant -Employee discount is a great bonus if you like branded shoes -Generally a very fair workload with good leeway to take a minute every now and then to have a drink or pop to the bathroom when it's quiet. Sounds like a given but shockingly, some other companies/stores can be very fussy about letting staff members have a drink of water on shift. -I've never personally had any issues getting holiday approved. Only one or two weeks out of the year dont allow holiday, but this is communicated in advance and management are very accommodating if you need time off for personal reasons.
Cons
-Its retail. Rude customers, busy periods, etc are all just standard for this type of role. No fault of the company, just typical of sales and retail for these to be cons. -No commission on accessory items (aka upselling) (However, there are other financial incentives aside from that) -During quiet periods during the year, store hours may drop. During these periods, hours may not be as high as you'd want, but they are allocated based on performance so better sales = more hours.
