Pros
The people working on the ground including direct line of management are among the best youll ever meet
Cons
While the staff on the ground work incredibly hard to support clients the organisation itself is poorly managed let alone understood by the executive and doesn't deserve the level of funding or the staff it receives and resources would be better given to the support organisations that actually deliver better outcomes to clients because there is a strong focus on meeting funding targets and reporting numbers at the expense of providing genuine support to those who need it and too often clients are referred to external services rather than receiving the assistance they approached the organisation for. Again staff on the ground do an exceptional job despite the organisational shortcomings but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the organisation's leadership where executive management has little regard for staff wellbeing any sensitivity in its communications. Completely inappropriate it is for the CEO to introduce a discussion about the organisation potentially providing support to the ongoing royal commission into antisemitism and social cohesion by disclosing that an employee had recently lost family members in Palestine. Really shows that the place is far more concerned with securing funding than treating its employees with any sort of dignity or compassion but not surprising anyways since executive leadership is so intent on holding onto the organisation especially when they could never get the same position elsewhere.
