Pros
* Great colleagues (all of which I knew have now left for the same reasons as I am likely to state). * Share scheme (If you can believe the company will sell). * A good entry level office job for those who live in the area... You'll experience what it was like to work in the 80s - yes I am referring to the poor behaviours of the leadership team. * I probably have enough material to make a best selling book. * You'll be a great fit if you love people who have no business telling you how to do you job, do exactly that.
Cons
* Poor pay * Draconian management style and overall poor leadership. * Founder, Managing Director and COO are all unqualified and inexperienced to be in the positions they are in. * As mentioned before, members of the senior leadership team have poor leadership skills and are prone to outdated views and actions. This includes excusing one another for their actions to junior members of staff by stating things like "he's just from a different era" followed by "now you don't want to take this up with HR as it will only be harder for you..." * Some of the benefits that are expressed to new hires are actually cons... * Fundamentally flawed solution * Take the successes and figures they spout with a pinch of salt... * Avoid investing your time and money in this business. * Your ideas will be dismissed and reiterated to you by management a week later as their own... * Poor long term outlook - The only reason it has lasted for as long as it has, has been down to the founder being able to privately raise funds from friends, family and fools. * Directors original ideas are the single source of truth... You won't be allowed to actually do market research or question their source as to whether a solution should be built or not. If they thought of it, good luck trying to tell them its a bad idea. Do your own research check companies house on both the company and the members of the board, founder, etc.
