Pros
Working with children was the best part of the job. Working hours are decent. There's paid holidays according to MOE's calendar. It's a good place to start for young aspiring teachers as there's guidance given and help provided where needed.
Cons
There is no career progression so do not expect there to be any form of mentorship for management. The pay is not as competitive as other enrichment centres. Teachers are paid per student - not class. In down times, students are lesser but teachers get paid less even though it is not the fault of the teaching quality. Not ideal as the pay is unstable. Communication between parents and principal can lapse sometimes which leaves teachers in a bad light. The curriculum mainly benefits the higher order thinking students due to its complexity. Those who struggle often don't get the help they need unless the teacher puts in the extra hours to consult the student one to one - without pay of course.
