Pros

It's an incredibly easy job and you always know what's expected of you. No surprises on the day-to-day; once you get the hang of it, you can sort of just relax, get the job done, then go home. Coworkers are generally friendly and fun to work with. Customers are usually polite. This is a great place to work for *very* part-time needs (10-15 hours a week), but the business model can't sustain part-timers who are looking to work longer schedules.

Cons

VERY low pay for the amount of customer service that is expected from you, on top of it you do not receive commission for the amount of sales you are expected to push. People are leaving the company in droves, so scheduling is NEVER consistent. Every boutique around is understaffed and constantly in need of help from other locations to fill in their schedule and keep the doors open. The work-life balance is poor because even if you work part-time for pennies, you are expected to work all holidays and weekends. I was told by management that we "shouldn't be allowed to ask off on holidays," which really soured morale and respect for the company. District managers only care about the bottom line, so the only employees they care about are boutique managers. Stylists, sales leads, and even assistant managers are very expendable, and so are not cared about/respected by Francesca's. Stores are not doing great, and there were many days where I worked 7+ hour shifts without a break (yes, that's illegal). On top of it, a lot of the merchandise is low quality with an expensive mark-up, so it felt unethical selling it sometimes.

Pros

I loved the flexibility of my boss scheduling me according to free time with my college work.

Cons

I felt like it was a very serious job and sometime my boss would make me go up to guests and keep askign them questions right when they walk in the door.
