The people. eLynx seeks to hire and only retains the best. Everyone wants to help everyone else, and the company overall, succeed. Developers are not micro-managed; they are given the freedom to decide the best technology and tools to accomplish the goal. Developers are provided with the tools, both software and hardware, that they request to do their jobs efficiently. Getting those tools is quick and easy with virtually no red tape. Good salaries and benefits. Company culture - encourages experimentation and risk taking to make the business better. Offices with doors. This is the best company I have worked for in my career. Of course it isn't perfect, but it is very hard for me to imagine going back to a company like the other ones I have worked for in the past. Not only would I recommend eLynx to a friend, I have helped bring several friends and former colleagues to eLynx.
Cons
eLynx is a small company and there is nowhere to hide; whatever you do, good or bad, is clear to everyone. Business mistakes are tolerated well, especially if you learn something and move on. Treating other people badly is not tolerated well. Because eLynx is small, official career advancement opportunities are somewhat limited, though very few boundaries placed on what someone can make of their position.
