It is our hope that you shared this experience with our Inclusion Committee during our latest survey, as we want to make sure your experience was included in the readouts we recently conducted with the larger company. I’d like to share the latest update on all we are doing as an organization to better the experience of all employees, and particularly for our BIPOC employees. It is my hope that you see progress as our promotion/hiring freeze comes to an end this month.
Since we began our DEI journey just over two years ago, we have partnered with Ethos Talent, an external consultant renowned in the Chicago region. Throughout 2020, we have tackled a number of DEI initiatives, including:
- multiple company-wide trainings (active listening training, feedback training, etc.)
- launching our inaugural Inclusion Committee
- launching our inaugural Identity and Inclusion Survey
- conducting a Hiring Process Audit with internal and external partners, and gathering a variety of recruiting resources for our hiring teams
- launching a formal Manager Training program with strong inclusion and anti-racist components
- currently conducting a Compensation Equity Audit with an external partner
- launching both a one-time company donation match as well as formally launching our ongoing donation matching program
