Team members were assets to the company itself and great to work with

During my time at Dermoi, I was asked to write fake product and company reviews across all sectors. There was no direction for myself as an employee, it was a case where different work would be thrown my way which was not part of my role. I was also asked to research and help build spreadsheets of another of their businesses which is Evenswiss UK as well as work on Dermoi. There was no communication from both CEO or head of department, just endless expectations and no acknowledgment. The work environment became very toxic which was caused by the CEO Elena who's undermining, passive aggressive behaviour, and insensitive comments became an occurring thing. Where I even witnessed team members in tears due to it and many leave. Throughout my time at Dermoi, both CEO Elena Reva and CSO Eve Casha would comment openly about employees behind their back and made it evident all team members were not is a safe working environment and just numbers in a small business. There was many times the CEO would comment on staff members suggesting they should be 'dating' and continue to push that narrative, while also commenting on staffs eating habits and made racial slurs, homophobic and insensitive comments.

The junior members of the team were great to get along with. However, this was heavily tarnished by the horrendous management and work environment.

The other reviews speak for themselves. This company has a blatant disregard for team members below a management position. They were consistently rude, and would often speak about myself and other junior members of the team behind our backs (I discovered this via another member of management, when they told me that the CEO and CSO thought that I wanted to be romantically involved with one of the team members, which is entirely unprofessional to speak of within a workplace. Further, they made racially motivated, homophobic, and ableist comments during my time there. Not to mention the blatantly negative comments regarding eating habits, which conform to a negative narrative regarding eating disorders and mental health. This company are horrendous to work for, and successfully created a toxic work environment through passive aggression, patronisation, and (at times) causing staff members (whom were on minimum wage) to break down in tears. Horrible company. Do not recommend.
