Pros
Allows for remote work. Fairly independent work environment.
Cons
Unreasonable work expectations: The company policy is “why have three employees when you can overwork one!” You’ll end up taking on more and more responsibility until you’re doing work that used to be done by four people. This will not be reflected in your salary, which will never increase. You’re expected to work (unpaid) overtime in perpetuity. They expect you to operate at 200% every single day until you’re so burnt out you can’t take it anymore. Minimal pay/benefits: Never received a raise after years working there, despite taking on more and more work. I witnessed valuable employees who advocated for a raise get laid off. Misclassifying employees: Intentionally misclassifies employees as "independent contractors" (in violation of federal and state employment law) to avoid giving them benefits. Completely disorganized management: No org chart of any kind, no HR, no structure at all. If you want to be overworked and undervalued until you burn out, this is the perfect company for you.
