Pros

A 2.9 rating is way too good for this company. Just salary and lunch. Lol, now they don't even pay salaries. If you get an opportunity from ZZAZZ, my brother, please RUN.

Cons

ZZAZZ is easily one of the most toxic workplaces I have experienced. Joining this company felt like ruining my peace of mind. The company expects employees to work like machines — weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays — without proper compensation, comp-offs, or appreciation. You are expected to sit in the office from 9 AM to 6 PM even when there is no actual work, just to satisfy management’s control issues. For months, salaries were delayed by 2–3 months while employees were kept completely in the dark. No proper communication, no transparency, no accountability. Even severance payments were delayed after layoffs. Employees stayed silent because most people were scared of losing their jobs or being targeted by management. The company recently laid off a huge number of employees suddenly, and many employees felt there was no fairness or professionalism in the way decisions were made. The management culture here is extremely toxic. Certain managers, tech leads, and the sole TA/HR person behave as if they own the company and have unlimited authority to fire anyone anytime they want. Employees are constantly threatened directly or indirectly about being removed from the company if they do not behave, work, or respond exactly the way management wants. Instead of supporting employees, there is constant mental pressure, intimidation, and harassment. People are made to feel scared all the time. Some individuals in management even cross professional boundaries by making personal remarks, questioning employees’ character, or getting involved in unnecessary personal matters that should never be part of a workplace. The funniest part is the way certain people constantly preach about “culture.” There is one talent acquisition person there who acts like she is the face of HR and culture, constantly lecturing employees about professionalism and values, while the management itself behaves in the exact opposite way. The founder’s favorite circle talks the most about culture while creating the most toxic environment in the office. Mind you, they have a POSH policy on papers, but you'll never be able to use it. The office environment feels less like a workplace and more like a reality show full of gossip, politics, personal grudges, favoritism, jealousy, and immature behavior. People cross professional boundaries regularly, and unnecessary personal drama becomes part of daily office life. Imagine grown adults in leadership positions holding grudges against 24–25-year-olds and trying to attack employees personally instead of acting professionally. Another major issue is the ridiculous notice periods. Employees were suddenly pushed into 3-month, 4-month, and even 6-month notice periods, making it extremely difficult for people to leave or switch jobs easily. Despite being around for years, the company still feels directionless internally. Employees are sold dreams and “vision” while internally everything feels unstable, chaotic, fear-driven, and mentally draining. Pros: * Some genuinely hardworking employees trying to survive the chaos Cons: * Salary delays * Toxic management * Mental harassment * Fear-based culture * Favoritism * Politics and gossip * Personal attacks and intimidation * Weekend work without compensation * Unrealistic notice periods * No work-life balance

Pros

The company has an ambitious vision and some talented individuals who genuinely believe in the product. Employees are given significant responsibility and exposure to a wide range of business functions. The work can be fast-paced and there are opportunities to learn if you are prepared to work independently.

Cons

Leadership lacks the structure, experience, and operational discipline required to effectively scale a company. Decision-making is often inconsistent, priorities change frequently, and there appears to be favoritism toward certain employees. The culture can feel political, with reports of bullying, gossip, and unhealthy internal dynamics. Many experienced and capable employees have left, either voluntarily or after becoming frustrated with the environment. Expectations around working hours can be excessive, with long days and weekends becoming the norm. Employees are often encouraged to believe they are on the path to extraordinary financial success, but the reality does not always align with the messaging. Communication, transparency, accountability, and professional management practices require significant improvement.

Pros

Ownership: You have the freedom to take ownership of projects, experiment with tech, and pitch ideas. Compensation: On paper, the compensation offered is above the market standards. Perks: Free daily lunch provided.

Cons

Financial Instability: Despite the high compensation on paper, payroll has been highly inconsistent. In my experience, salaries were sometimes delayed for extended periods (>3 months) with minimal communication. Directionless Leadership: The executive strategy frequently changes based on external opinions rather than a clear, long-term business plan. There seems to be a disconnect between generating ideas and actual execution. Overstated Technology: The research and development around their core AI products is heavily exaggerated. The technical execution is basic and is just random number generation. Engineering Leadership : There is a noticeable lack of effective technical leadership and management within the engineering department. High Turnover & Favoritism: The turnover rate is exceptionally high for a team this size. Performance standards feel inconsistently applied across the team. Rigid Culture: There is zero flexibility for remote work. The expectation is strictly 9 AM to 6 PM in the office, with an unspoken expectation to continue working after hours. Taking earned PTO is highly discouraged.
