Pros
Worked with some fantastic people before the redundancies Gained useful experience in the corporate/ start up world (enough to know I definitely don't want to work in this sector again) Compensation was fair most of the time
Cons
My biggest gripe is that ZOEs words and actions never matched during my time there. They would promise things to keep our morale up but never deliver on them. I understand things change quickly in a start up so a one off could be forgiven but it happened multiple times which just destroyed any trust in management and the company. The job was incredibly stressful to the point it caused serious health issues. They do lots of surveys into employee wellbeing but when the issues are down to things such as scheduling, backlogs, poor Comms, lack of transparency - it takes more than an extra break to restore wellbeing. I do believe people are well intentioned but it very much felt like the team as a whole was out of their depth in my final months there. There definitely seemed to be a lack of clear communication down the chain of senior leadership to middle management to "ground floor" csa's. I found the way the company handled the first round of redundancies was poor. Fake positivity and platitudes when people are scared for their jobs and have lost friends on their teams just felt completely inappropriate.
