Pros
- Tons of room for growth if you're a good fit
- Great learning/mentorship opportunities: I came into ZipfWorks with little-to-no experience in marketing, and have learned everything from content marketing and SEO to influencer marketing and even PR — as well as tech knowledge I didn't have before. Again, if you're open to it, you can really grow here.
- Extremely intelligent coworkers/management
- Feeling of importance: even as a new hire, you'll get asked your opinion on things like product designs, processes, etc.
- Small team (some might see this as a con, I enjoy the small team)
- Agile team, so you won't get bored doing the same thing for long
- Excellent perks/benefits like unlimited PTO, no feeling of dread when having to ask off for doctor's appts.
- Team lunches on Friday, snacks, coffee, & breakfast in-office
Cons
- I came from a very social work environment (probably too social) and I do miss workplace gossip at times. That being said, when everyone takes their headphones off, highly intelligent convos ensue.
- If you haven't yet (as I hadn't), you'll have to learn how to manage your priorities in the office so you're not taking your work home with you.
