Pros

There was a time when the company was doing great.. lets say 10+ years ago. Now, forget about it.

Cons

If you have been here long enough, you know that every few years someone in management tries to make a big change and fails. If you came through one of the various acquisitions you may be excited about what's to come, but that too shall pass. Zinnia is a rebrand of SE2 (Read that review page for more details into how unhappy people are). Their goal over the next 5 years is to reduce the size of the company drastically, “Fire Fast, Hire Slow”. The new CEO and her clan will fire you if you aren’t liked. But if she does like you (i.e you came from BreatheLife) she will give you equity of Zinnia while people who have been dedicated to the firm for over 10+ years will get nothing. As they work on scaling down the business they will make exciting programs that they are launching internally seem like it’s great for all, but in turn, it’s a way for management to figure out where they can fire and who can take on a larger workload. The art of the possible is a fraud. We are a legacy TPA who has legacy infrastructure and no product to show for the next few years. People will never be a focus.. trust me they will drill over and over again how zinnia is such a people driven company. We are all laughing at that statement as we look for new jobs. So for anyone considering Zinnia as a place of work… SPRINT far away!

Zinnia Response

We do appreciate all perspectives on the launch of the new Zinnia organization, as it gives us an opportunity to share where we are and where we are going. While Zinnia is not a rebrand of SE2 or any other individual company, we do recognize that there is a lot of work to be done before our goals are achieved. We value the expertise of each and every team member and strive to create an open, communicative, and inclusive culture that provides everyone with what they need to become the professional they want to be. Our goal is to create a team where each member pursues excellence on an individual basis with a focus on the outcome. As pieces of a whole, this culture is the foundation of what Zinnia was created for: to challenge the status quo.

Pros

They drive you hard and you learn a lot. Most of these reviews seem like theyve been listed by people who are afraid to put the time in to learn, or gave in under the pressure.

Cons

Learning curve is a bit high, but through conversations with employees you learn a lot.

Pros

Wonderful people. Autonomy and authority to build the organization based on my experience and expertise. Good balance of remote and in-person work.

Cons

They changed their mind about the need for risk management after the CEO retired and COO left.
