I'm posting this as there has been a suspicious spate of positive reviews left over the course of a week in October. I worked at Breakthrough for a year and have never experienced such a toxic environment. Management is non-existent and barely functions as a clique that doesn't filter information or offer any support to the staff underneath it. There's a huge staff turnover with many talented people being let go for a number of arbitrary reasons. The work is slow and is often irrelevant by the time it is published, thanks in part to the breakdown of communication between upper management and those who actually do the work. One manager in particular was a bully and I'd be extremely alarmed if they're still there (as they were also incompetent). Being there for as long as I was had an effect on my mental health and to this day working at Breakthrough is the biggest regret of my career. Knowing the company as I do, it would be no surprise to learn that those positive reviews left in October came from within the HR department as a directive from above.
