Pros
Flexible work schedule and autonomy, no micromanaging.
Cons
Health benefits are not cheap. Not valued as an employee. Lean, mean government contractor. Lean overhead resources. As an employee I don't feel valued. During my performance eval when I requested for more than I was getting in salary increase, my manager let me know that I was OVERPAID for my position. She compared my position with another Zenetex employee working in Havelock, NC. She conveniently left out the part that this other employee works in a NC. We all know that cost of living in the Washington metropolitan area is higher than NC. Take for example, a salary of $50K in the DC area could decrease to $32K in NC. Beside the fact that my manager wasn't comparing apples to apples, my position covers a wide range of areas where as the Zenetex employee being compared to was different. I am still appalled that my manager made the comment "your OVERPAID" hence why I am not valued here.
