- Zalando doesn’t have one single visionary leader, from the C-level to SVPs to VPs to Directors, they are all pointing in vague direction, they have no real vision on their own and they really need subordinates to come up with ideas. - Complex, rude and disorganized environment, each team acts as a separate company. - Collaboration is hard between teams. - Promotions are shady, some heads suddenly become Directors (with one report) without following any transparent process. - It’s hard to advance professionally. - Very slow and hierarchical company.
