Pros
Flexible schedule (within certain time frame), great opportunity to learn fundamental skills right out of school, no one really bothers you back in the labs, performance incentives apparently exist (but are rarely used).
Cons
As a contractor, the internal employees at the site are always watching you and sometimes very petty (i.e. you and an internal employee can do the same task, while you get in trouble, they won't). In addition to the low pay, high turnover rates, no room for advancement, poor communication, and empty promises of change, 401k matches were stopped during the pandemic and hazard pay was promised, but never delivered. When you ask for a raise, they say there's no money until they renegotiate the employment contract with the Client.
