Pros
A very free atmosphere yet with very motivated Japanese professionals. More like a mix of global entity with a Japanese structure. If you are a "go-getter type" but you still want to work in a Japanese style comapny, this is a place for you. As most Japanese companies require fine details about small operations, if you'd like to follow your heart and creative intuition, this can probably be a good place for you.
Cons
The environment requires serlf-discipline and high sense of self responsibility... with freedom, always comes a price. As the technology and product/service is in a niche yet very competitive zone, it is crucial to be able to make your own decisions and be assertive about communicating your personal career goals and work style preferences. As the Japanese market requires a lot of "re-dedfining" many of the core technologies must be "dumbed down" or in a better expression "be simplified". There for you will need to hone up your skills to communicate techonological aspect to many of the team members. Good for guys who want to pick up skills to start their own business or step up into a higher managerial role.
