Pros
- Surprisingly generous work/life balance - Most people under mid-management (IOW, those who haven't been there their entire careers) pull their weight - Fair number of foreign employees
Cons
- Moves about a slowly and lethargically as you'd expect from a 110-year-old Japanese company - More or less on auto-pilot, with no long-term strategy and no plan (or desire) to make improvements - Most Japanese employees are really, really old and switched off in the late 80's
