      Pros

      A wealthy private university has plenty of positive externalities! Generous healthcare, a great library, gym, athletic facilities and smart people all around!

      Cons

      Not much else in city, outside options rather limited. Even part-time non-Yale work for family is difficult to find. Need to drive to go anywhere.

      Great benefits, lots of opportunities, exciting environment

      In academia, where salaries are generally lower than in the corporate sector, there can be a disproportionate amount of arrogance because many people are motivated by prestige and status rather than financial compensation.
