Pros
You get to work for the brightest minds; intellectually challenging environment; research facilties are superb. Having a Yale stamp on your resume pays dividends in the long run. Career options after Yale are also great. The career services office helps out students a lot by inviting top notch companies for recruitment.
Cons
New Haven is not a great town, it gets boring at times. Every so often there is a mugging incident, even in nicer neighborhoods. Winters can be bad and can get very depressing. The health plan offered to graduate students is not so flexible. University housing for graduate students is also limited.
