Pros

You get to work with brilliant and innovative engineers. Due to its startup nature, in this company you get to exercise your creativity and problem-solving skills on a day-to-day basis, inspired and motivated by the fact that your work gets to go to space, and your product (remotely-sensed earth imagery) gets to move science and industry forward! You work together as a team for the success of the mission. As long as you believe in the mission, and are a self-starter, you will have a great time here!

Cons

This is not a con for me personally, but I imagine some might miss the predictability and structure of bigger companies. But to me, this is a welcome challenge: no two days are the same, every day brings its own exciting challenges to tackle!

Pros

Team gets to innovate on the satellite engineering, good team, great benefits for a startup (full and fully paid health, dental, vision).

Cons

Need to be a self-starter, this isn't for inexperienced people.

Pros

… … … … …

Cons

It has been quite some time since I’ve left this company. I feel enough time has passed that I can now say my piece without repercussion. This fear that I’ve felt should tell you something - I heard the owners threaten to take legal action against prior employees many times in my tenure at Xplore. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Listen to the other reviews (the ones not left by the owners and management), because they are 100% true. I thought to myself “surely this place can’t be as bad as everyone says”. It is just as bad as everyone says. The only reason I’m leaving this review is to try to keep any bright young engineers who enjoy the space industry away from here. Working at Xplore will make you want to quit engineering. It will give you second thoughts about your career choice. It will suck out all the joy you ever felt from doing engineering work. As you can see by the replies from the owner here - there is an outright refusal to accept responsibility for creating this environment.
