Pros

There are none - don't bother joining

Cons

Do not take a job at XE. The place is a scam. People are very lazy and the lower end workers are very relaxed while others do all the hard work for them. They have people employed to sit there and gossip all day/or browse the net. Customer complaints are never ending and they are trying to compete with other companies however XE is a sinking ship - the monthly standup figures are always negative and they try to cover this up. They call themselves a "fintech" company, but the technology they use is very dated and sometimes doesn't work. The company needs to get rid of the old HIFX staff who have had it easy for years and bring in a more corporate feel. The execs are bullies and push changes through without thinking of consequences with a "need it now" attitude to the staff. Everybody is scared of the new CEO and jump and flap around when he asks for something to make themselves look good even though they don't understand what has been asked of them. Some people are over worked and no thanks or recognition for it - you just end up with more work. Parking, well its a few spaces shared between your team and if you don't get one then your left to park elsewhere and walk. The office is cramped and dated with a kitchen in the middle making the office smell of burnt toast all the time or people's lunches. Stay well away from this company

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I can tell that you’re incredibly frustrated at the moment, and I’d like to apologise for that. While I wouldn’t agree with your assertion that the executives are ‘bullies’ I do agree that we are trying to transform the business by changing gather way in which we operate. Now, the thing about change is it’s not something people tend to enjoy. So I completely understand that by making changes, we run the risk of upsetting people. It is not our intention to upset anyone but, as you touch upon, we are in a very tough market and if we continue to operate the way we always have we are unlikely to be able to compete under such challenging circumstances. Change is difficult to accept and even more difficult to lead, but I would like to see us do a better job of it. As for parking, I too would love an onsite parking space everyday - so I feel your pain with this. Turning to your advice, I can assure you that I read every single review left on Glassdoor and I try my best to respond to each one where the author has made suggestions and comments. I also read every single comment on the confidential employee survey, and I read every suggestion posted through our anonymous YOM suggestion boxes. We are committed to listening and improving the experience of working for Xe. One of the challenges from Glassdoor is that there are few effective safeguards in place to ensure that one disgruntled employee cannot leave several reviews - in fact, someone who left months ago could still be leaving reviews without seeing some of the positive changes we have introduced. In contrast to that, one of the benefits of using Culture Amp for our employee surveys is they allow just one response per employee and they ensure full confidentiality - so only the employee knows how they’ve responded. If you like, you can check out Culture Amps commitment to confidentiality on their website - I’d ask you to just reflect on how successful an employee feedback platform would be if it were not confidential. Finally, I’m afraid I have to strongly disagree with your view that all HiFX employees should be terminated. In fact, I’d go further and suggest that a direct attack on your fellow colleagues from behind a cloak of anonymity is disrespectful at best. It is certainly not the type of behaviour we want to see here at Xe, so though I can understand some of your frustrations, I would ask you to please be more considerate to your colleagues in the future. There are a lot of people who come to work and give all they can - whether they’ve been here for a few months or many years. We should all recognise the part each of us plays. I sense that you are more comfortable remaining anonymous, which is your right to do so. However, if you genuinely wish to ask any other questions or make further suggestions, I want you to know that my door is always open and there will be no negative consequences of you speaking to me. Pros

Very active team communication, employee benefits

Cons

The HR team floods sites like these with positive reviews to drown out the slew of negative reviews that exist. You get hired to work for one company and end up responsible for that role across Xe, Ria, Dandelion, John Lewis, and whatever other brands they spontaniously absorb. Pay does not reflect work effort expected. Rely heavily on AI generated content with little to no sense checking. Denver office is NOT diverse. It's extremely clique-y and the price to enter the club is not worth the trouble. Xe and Ria are nepotism's best friends. They're unpredictable, make decisions that break downstream systems without care, and will radically change your responsibilities at the drop of a hat. Do not recommend.
