Pros

Reasonable pay and benefits, though potentially on the lower end for the market. Opportunity to work with significant clients within the federal government (like USGS), providing valuable experience depending on the specific team assignment. Access to training resources and opportunities for professional growth are available.

Cons

Communication could be inconsistent, and team dynamics sometimes felt challenging, particularly in a remote setting. Health coverage premiums for families can be relatively high compared to alternatives. Limited sick/vacation time makes it difficult to maintain a work-life balance and employee health and well-being. Culture can be especially challenging to navigate for individuals with disabilities. Standard 'at-will' employment means separations can happen at any-time and with no explanation. New-hire logistics, such as equipment and PIV card pickup, might require travel out of state at personal expense.
