Pros
I work with some of the greatest people.
Cons
Severely cutting expenses with a complete halt on travel, and introducing a "Voluntary Retirement Plan" as a means to reduce staff. The possibility of cutting AIP is looming, and uncertainty prevails. A high-ranking executive in the C-Suite is departing (one of the best IMO), marking the fourth VP or higher to leave this year. Morale has hit rock bottom, and many individuals I interact with are actively exploring other options. It appears the sole focus is on pleasing shareholders, while our stated values of Safe, Connected, Committed, and Trustworthy seem to be mere rhetoric. I find myself questioning whether management genuinely upholds these values or if they are just empty words. Over the past few months, leadership has taken actions that has eroded the trust of employees, and it could potentially take years to rebuild. There was a time when I took pride in declaring that I worked for Xcel. Unfortunately, that sentiment no longer holds true for me.
