Pros

Weird people work here so it can be entertaining

Cons

Working at Xcede has been a frustrating experience. The office location is terrible, making it difficult to get to work. The management feels outdated and disconnected, and there's a noticeable lack of appreciation for employees. Diversity seems to be an afterthought, with clear favorites among long-term employees who seem to hold onto their positions without any push for change. The internal processes are chaotic, often flipping between policies without any clear direction. The culture leans toward emotional manipulation rather than fostering genuine connections or using emotional intelligence. It's a toxic environment labeled as "emotional sales," but it often feels like "dirty sales." Overall, I believe there are much better companies out there that truly value their employees. If you’re looking for a supportive workplace, I would recommend steering clear of Xcede.

Pros

Pretty central location so easy to get to as well as having good eating spots around, free fruit, rewarded for deals, a select few normal people you could hang out with at lunch (although saying that, only if you were allowed to have lunch).

Cons

Probably THE worst company I have been with. Management micromanage and guide (or misguide in certain cases) and when their guidance had poor feedback from clients or candidates, they don't owe up to their own mistakes but blame the junior. Sending 30 average CVs to clients and spamming another 150 CVs out to prospective clients PER WEEK is the norm. They work on a basis that if you throw enough mud against the wall, some will stick. All spot business and never focus on long term partnerships, not that anyone would want to after being harassed and closed five times every day. They make every effort to not pay commission. And don't get me started on the poor commission structure. Very long hours, definitely no life. Bad hygiene and smell going around in the office and no ventilation.

Thank you for taking the time to review Xcede. We appreciate that recruitment is not for everyone – it’s demanding and rewarding in equal measure, and we appreciate that people will not always want to remain in the industry, however our staff retention remains high relative to our peers. We are an Investors in People Silver certified professional staffing firm. We have an excellent track record of training and developing our staff to deliver class leading recruitment services within the digital marketing space. We are proud of our organic development - two of our equity directors joined as graduates. We successfully partner some of Europe’s most recognisable brands, proving to be an essential component of their recruitment strategy. One of our core beliefs is the value we add on a partnership basis and this reflects in the size and number of accounts we work with. We regularly review our compensation policy and believe we offer one of the most generous commission schemes of any staffing firm. We supplement our reward policy with a host of other benefits. Further we run regular sales incentives to reward high performance with trips to Barcelona, Paris, Ibiza and Chamonix, all happening this year. We run a 10 week training academy, with regular weekly training courses. Additionally we have an external trainer, make regular use of the APSCo training courses and have an executive management coach. Further, if you have worked here – you will be very familiar with the management teams’ open door policy, where all of our staff opinions and suggestions are welcomed and actioned where appropriate. This has led to us to getting a large break out space with free food and drinks, monthly massages, a PS4 and Sonos. Finally, we recently commissioned an external staff satisfaction survey as part of our commitment to providing an excellent work place and scored 86% across all areas. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the management team if you wish to discuss your experiences further.
