Pros
The people are nice and the company itself is great. Lots of great people to work with that have been there for a long time and want to see others succeed below them. They bring in snacks everyday, basketball courts, gym, have activities frequently for employees, food trucks come to the site, great view (if you work on the south side of the building), pay incentives (once/if hired on), close to restaurants, they'll bring in food if it gets incredibly busy.
Cons
Honestly one of the most stressful and unrewarding jobs I've ever worked. You'll start out as a Contractor, you don't get any benefits, pay incentives, PTO, etc. They expect an absurd amount of time from you, I'm referring to meetings, quizzes, exams, daily assignments, posts to read and acknowledge, all the products you have to know and learn to troubleshoot, 3 chats at a time, phone calls, and if it's busy, they'll cut lunches. You treated as if you are a cog in a machine, unappreciated, I don't feel as though I add any value to the company. Management are nice people, but the culture in the department is miserable at best. I'm constantly reminded of small insignificant errors or mistakes I've made with no positive reinforcement. They make you "feel" better by bringing in junk food and they say how much they appreciate us that we have to stay and help customers that angry or upset while management is negative and our service quality team (they'll grade the chats and calls we take) and grade them while looking for ways to mark us down points. I dread coming into work, this department, not Xactware itself, because management have set such high expectations for us with no real way to achieve success. You take 3 chats at a time and when you get backed up and have many tickets to case and you're work 10 hours that day and you're trying to get home and make a mistake, they don't care, it's very stressful. If I didn't have to be here (this department) I wouldn't. I've voiced many opinions and things I wanted understanding on but the situation was turned on me and they made it to look as if my bad scores were my fault, but in reality I just happened to get caught in the middle and received the bad score because of someone else's laziness. You literally can't do anything because you have to be at the computer the entire time while you're here. The company will throw parties and hand out prizes during the day, but we'll be the only department not there taking chats and phone calls. Only 2 official days off during the year, Christmas day, and new years day. Every other day you are expected to work, unless requested and if you get that requested day off.
