Pros

Undoubtedly the best thing about Wowcher is the people. I am lucky to manage a team of brilliant writers who work extremely hard and together we tackle all the challenges that get thrown in our direction, whilst being able to have some fun along the way. There are also a few great people across the business who are keen to help you get the most out of your experience. There are a lot of perks to working at Wowcher, such as the company parties, All Bar, fresh fruit, breakfast once a week etc, however, these don't outweigh most of the cons. Personally, I have also been able to progress through the business - I started in a junior role and am now a manager. This isn't always possible for everyone however, from my experience, you get out what you put in.

Cons

The biggest con at Wowcher is the pay. We are hugely underpaid and on the Content side there is also no opportunity to earn commission or bonuses to top up your pay. Recognition is also lacking across the board, with Sales being the only team that really seems to "matter". All of this has meant that we've lost a lot of incredible staff in recent months, taking a huge amount of knowledge with them too. Better pay and more respect from senior management would really enhance the Wowcher experience, allowing us to better retain staff.

Pros

An excellent workplace with a vibrant team culture, great benefits, and real opportunities to roll up your sleeves and grow.

Cons

The workload can be demanding and the pace doesn't always let up, which can take some getting used to.
