Pros

Fantastic hours, lots of holiday, salary is pretty good for an English teaching, lots of Disney related curriculum, Japanese staff are usually pretty helpful

Cons

lots of commutes, if you are sick then you lose money and your bonus, multiple in person meetings on your days off (they are given on a calendar at the start of the year though), cameras in the rooms can make you uncomfortable as you know / find out you are being watched

Pros

The distributed team is a mixture of talent and collaboration. Strong leadership, good team work, supportive staff, good pay. The work is challenging and rewarding.

Cons

It's a learning process. A lot of systems and processes seem new and the company is heading into unchartered waters, so there is a learning curve and friction in finding the optimal way forward.

Pros

- Hourly compensation - Good support network, good training - Friendly staff and management

Cons

- Offers very little full-time employment for non-Japanese (teaching staff) - Most teachers employed semi-illegally as "Outside contractors" - Management expects too much from part-time workers in terms of extra activities, availability and hours, which are not well compensated
