Pros
There are plenty opportunities to learn in emerging fields, and some which combine several major areas of study. The school recognizes that technical talent needs to be paired with the ability to communicate new ideas, and WPI aims for a well-rounded college life, with its new gym, Greek life, counseling and a sustainability focus. Learning sciences, participation in the DOE Solar Decathlon program, and other academics benefit students and the city.
Cons
There is some disconnect with the information that's needed to sustain academic levels while marketing the school. It's surprising that no intranet exists and that Web pages, once set up, are not edited centrally.
