Pros
- Really supportive working environment (Store manager, Front-Service Manager, fellow team members really supportive and fun to work with) - Comfortable working environment - Good work mates and friends - Great environment to learn team work skills, working independently with little to no supervision - Excellent place to work during university studies getting some pocket money and something to do away from studies - good for mental health - Physical exercise with scanning items, packing bags, etc. - Some enjoyable conversations with customers who are happy to talk - My first experience of enjoying work, made it comfortable and easy to accept fill in shifts when called (compared to other Casual roles I had worked in customer service)
Cons
- Rare rude customer making working difficult on certain days, but support from managers and supervisors helps a lot - Can sometimes be a challenge on more busy/peek periods - Lots of time on feet/legs can do impact on physical health and sometimes may require long periods of time off if working a lot - Assistant Front-Service Manager was difficult to work with before they moved to different store, really degrading for a small minor mistake due to a tired exhausting period of the year for me. Front-Service Manager would have likely been more understanding and likely ask why/what made me make the mistake and been more compassionate Had to resign from role due to the physical toll due to past injury playing up, disappointed that it came to that as it was one of the better places I've worked in customer service
