Pros

Bank overtime Lots of booze around the office. Like drinking? Bagels and bananas instead of $? Join WM

Cons

Partners - Carry no smile on their face while walking around in the office. Common sense is not so common. Time to train young but not so young partners? Managers - Are nice when you are working on their file. Some prefer to look at the computer screens rather than the employee talking to them. Time to provide some communication training to the managers? Newly hired managers - Are so incompetent. Do they even act like managers? Who interviewed them? Overtime - Whats the point when employees are working on the files before the year-end dates? Oh ya, but if you don't do overtime you are a bad employee. Low salaries = High turnover of managers and senior employees Recruiting - Best candidates choose other accounting firms and reject WM offers:) Positive glassdoor reviews in Feb - Good job HR

Pros

Good variety of clients with lots of audit work. Gives you the ability to work on and review different types of accounting for different industries. Good training for junior staff. No pressure or requirements to bring in clients. Some partners very good at business development.

Cons

- The partners who are good at business development unfortunately will not be teaching you anything to help you with that skill. - One partner in particular is very rude and disrespectful. and just having to see them once in a while almost makes it not worth it working there. -HR is very fake and will tell you everything you want to hear, until it comes time to deliver on promises. - Culture is very poor and the best people have left the firm, including senior managers and some partners. -Long hours and very stressful environment for being a mid-size firm. Might as well work at B4 if you are going to endure that. - Manager group, the people you will learn from the most, are not the cream of the crop in terms of social interaction, teaching or mentorship skills. They are more file reviewers than managers. -Low pay, long hours -Too many managers and partners with shrinking client base, very little advancement opportunities for seniors and managers -Very little emphasis on becoming a well rounded accountant or advancing your career, only care about pumping out files and meeting deadlines.
