Pros
- Diversity, equity and inclusion programs are better than most companies I've worked for - Compensation is very good (salary, bonuses, retirement, and even stock options) - Lots of vacation and holidays - Remote or hybrid work is a big plus - Opportunity for growth and skills development - Freedom to work with others on interesting projects, solve challenges and take risks - Company prioritizes community, ownership and innovation so each person is responsible for making the most of their time at the company - The culture is amazing. Lots of passionate people work together to achieve something great.
Cons
- As the business and company grow, there are a lot of challenges scaling operations to support the growth. This causes some confusion and pain points. But I think it's probably normal for a company in hypergrowth. - Sometimes work-life balance can be a challenge to achieve for people who want to contribute to lots of efforts and shape the company as it grows. - Newer people join the company and do not buy into the culture. Little ownership or effort to help create a great company. They expect the company just to give them what they want. It used not to be that way. I wonder if the company is hiring people who don't fit the culture. I've noticed more people feel entitled but don't want to contribute to the community.
